Common questions
What does "error correction" mean?
QR codes can still scan correctly even when part of the image is damaged or obscured. Higher error correction survives more damage but produces a denser, more detailed pattern. Medium is a good default for most uses; use High if the code will be printed small or might get scuffed.
Does this upload what I type anywhere?
No. The QR code is generated entirely in your browser. A small, well-established open-source library (qrcodejs) handles the encoding locally — your text never leaves your device.
Is there a limit to how much text I can encode?
QR codes can hold a few thousand characters, but very long text produces a very dense, harder-to-scan code. For URLs and short messages you won't run into any practical limit.
